Portable energy, designed for everyday living

At the centre of the current Hearth is the BLUETTI APEX 300: a portable lithium iron phosphate power station with 2.7648 kWh of storage capacity and up to 3.84 kW of output.

Around it, DELOCA has developed a protective furniture shell made from engineered timber. Designed and made in Sydney, the shell draws on Australian outdoor living alongside Danish, Finnish, Japanese and Indian traditions of furniture design.

The Hearth is conceived as a long-lasting domestic object rather than a piece of temporary equipment. Its modular construction is designed for disassembly, repair and distributed manufacture, using Australian materials and components where practicable.

Apartment households and renters often cannot install rooftop solar or permanent batteries. The Hearth offers a transitional alternative: store electricity from solar-rich daytime periods and use it later for selected cooking, heating, cooling or everyday appliances.

Designed to fit balconies, verandahs, terraces, gardens and yards, it turns underused outdoor areas into flexible extensions of the home. The same space can become a micro-kitchen, outdoor workspace or setting for an evening barbecue on the balcony.

With the Hearth, eligible apartment households and renters can make greater use of midday free-power offers by charging its battery when solar energy is abundant and using the stored electricity later in the day.

The Hearth moves between private domestic use and shared outdoor life. Use it at home, then take portable energy into a courtyard, park or poolside setting where permitted.

It can support morning coffee, shared meals, picnics and neighbourhood gatherings without losing the quiet presence of a carefully designed piece of furniture.
